Herve Gourio (Non-Executive), was born in France and was CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel until July 2004. He started his career as a consultant for the French consulting group SEMA and subsequently as the chief executive of a French manufacturing company. In 1976 he became chief executive of Wagons-Lits Tourisme France and over the next 25 years [endIntro] would transform what was essentially a traditional French travel agency network with some interests abroad into a world scale travel management group with turnover of over US $11 billion, second only to American Express.
Herve Gourio is the Managing Director of Enterprise et Progrès, one of the leading corporate / employers associations in France and his current activities also include consulting, particularly in the area of business services. Herve Gourio is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique.
